Wax Idols – New Track, New Tour

Heather Fortune of Wax Idols is a survivor, and her latest release “I’m Not Going,” taken from American Tragic, out October 16th on Collect Records, embodies her strength and sprit. Empathized by her vocals of “I’ve got diamonds in my bones, I can shine alone” over a slow steady pulse and shimmering guitar.

Of the song, Fortune says, “In light of recent events, it’s hard for me not to think of this song in hindsight as being somewhat prophetic. I feel like it speaks for itself. My only hope is that someone else will hear it for what it is and will receive the message I’m sending, which is to never give up on yourself – no matter what horrors life throws at you.”

“I’m Not Going” was premiered byConsequence of Sound this morning.

Wax Idols will be touring this October and November, kicking off with a trio of dates with label-mates No Devotion andCreepoid. These include a special Collect Records/Brooklyn Vegan showcase at CMJ Oct. 14th. All dates starting after Oct. 18th are with Them Are Us Too.
